Our Little Shop Behind Costa: A Short Story

Our Little Shop Behind Costa: A Short Story

With the news now officially out there that we're relocating - wait you didn't hear? Read this first...

We thought we'd take a brief trip down memory lane, about our little shop behind Costa.

It's really been a whole year - maybe more. If we could tell you the story of pain we went through getting that place set up before it even became a games store, you would probably be lifting your jaw up off the floor.

But besides all that, the little shop behind Costa became our home, our base, our shelter.

After school and work hours, the shop became alive with crowds and crowds of TCG players, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, One Piece, Magic the Gathering to name a few. The place became a nest of pack-opening fiends, with boxes being opened on the whole, and card packs torn into in hopes of finding that one big pull. Many pulls were made at our little shop behind Costa.

Weekly painting nights became regular during the cool winter months, and provided a safe haven for those wanting to wind down and relax but also for those seeking grounds to paint their armies and prepare them for battle. It also made for great time spent with fellow artists and creatives, bringing our community closer together.

The little shop behind Costa hosted parties, most notably our Tavern Night last December, which brought the whole community together for drinks, food and laughter, and Petros wiped the floor with everyone at Dungeon Mayhem. GG!

Saturdays were teeming with activity thanks to our dedicated Warhammer maestros, Alejandro, Zac, Christos, Chris, Christophe, Christos, and also the other Christos. Plenty of 40K, Kill Team, AoS, Spearhead (did I name them all?) was taught in our little shop behind Costa.

Lesser events like board game nights and card games became a weekly habit, for those looking to escape the real world and dive into a new one with peers. We forged alliances, placed workers, traded goods, untapped lands, and blasted Worms to smithereens, after tiring work-hours at our little shop behind Costa.

Cyprus' first ever Blood Bowl community used the space as their playing ground, holding tournaments, meetings and it even became a regular space for league matches. Armour was crunched, linesmen and blitzers were POW'd and beaten up by fans, and hundreds of touchdowns were made at our little shop behind Costa.

D&D nights were held till the early morning, and Warhammer matches ran through long weekend days at our little shop behind Costa.

To say the least, we are grateful to everyone who stepped foot in our little shop behind Costa. You made WARPGaming what it is today and we thank you for the support, the time and the good times made. If you're ready to take this next step with us, we are excited to see where the future will take the WARP!

Love from Adam, Christophe, Alejo, Chris, Vlad & Mike x
